Kill The Beast: He Had Hairy Hands

I spent a sizeable chunk of last year urging you all to see The Boy Who Kicked Pigs, the critically-acclaimed debut show from a new and exciting theatre company called Kill The Beast. Now, after successful runs in London, Manchester and the Edinburgh Fridge, the company are back next month with a brand new original show: the brilliantly-titled He Had Hairy Hands.

He Had Hairy Hands (or H4 as it may become known) is a horror-mystery drama set in 1974 in the fictional village of Hemlock-Under-Lye. Plot details are not immediately forthcoming, save that it involves werewolves interrupting villagers' teatimes and a very important pigeon. But a quick gander at the production designs produce an intriguing mix of An American Werewolf in London and Quentin Blake at his most grotesque. It's safe to assume, therefore, that the show promises to be a great experience, every bit as horrifyingly absurd as The Boy Who Kicked Pigs.

He Had Hairy Hands is premiering at the inaugural INCOMING Festival, a joint venture between the New Diorama Theatre and A Younger Theatre, whom I blogged about in my profile of Briony Rawle. The show is on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th May, with both performances starting at 8:30pm. Tickets are £5 and can be purchased here. Hope to see you there, and remember: beware the moon...
